Focused Communities of Learning

Students at each grade level are assigned to a "cluster" of approximately 115 students. Each cluster is taught by a "team" of teachers.

Career Exploration Camp

From June 27-30, area middle school students are invited to come experience the Cheshire Career Center and explore career options such as: culinary arts, fire science, computer repair, filmmaking, horticulture, business, cosmetology, clothing construction, careers in education, computer-aided design, & automotive repair. This 4-day Career Exploration Camp is geared towards students going into grades 6-9.  Click here for more info.

6th Grade low folks have sectionals on Tuesday period 5.

 

Attention Band students marching in the Memorial Day parade: our second parade rehearsal is tomorrow morning from 9 - 10:30 am. Also, the Memorial Day parade is on Monday! Please report to the band room in concert dress on Monday morning at 8:45 am.

 

Attention band students who are marching on Monday. Please write down 357-9020 x6025 in your planner right now. If the weather looks iffy, this is the number you will call to find out our status. An update will be posted by 7:00 am. Again, the number is 357-9020, x6025.

 

Attention all Talent Show performers! Here's a rehearsal reminder:

 

Run Through of Act 1 - June 7th @ 2:45-3:45, auditorium (you may leave after your act).

Run Through of Act 2 - June 7th @ 3:30-4:30, auditorium (you may leave after your act).

Dress Rehearsal of entire show- June 8th @ 2:30-5:30, auditorium. Stay until 5:30.

 

Today is the last day to donate items for Fast Friends.  Students in NJHS will be at lunches today. Thank you!

 

Attention Showchoir:  Rehearsal is next Tuesday from 2:40 - 3:30 in the chorus room.

 

THERE IS NO MORE OPEN GYM AFTER SCHOOL. ONLY MAKE UPS WILL BE DONE THROUGH JUNE 9TH.

BUS INFORMATION

The First Student bus schedule can be found hereAs in the past, if parents do not see their specific address listed on the schedule they should consider the bus stop in the closest proximity to their home as “their bus stop”. If parents have specific questions or concerns for First Student, they can be reached at 352-2303.
